Why did I write this book? I am unsure, but a seed was planted in my mind that started to grow early during the time I was introduced to the Carolina Dog. As I got more and more involved, plus I now believe it was a destiny given to me, I felt compelled to give it a try as it was nagging me to give it a shot. This book is the result of an ageing southern outdoorsman that has a touch of redneck in him and no writing experience.  When asked what writing style did I use, I said, “I only know one style, my ‘I’m just being me style’.” I am always joking around and kidding with folks, so it was easy for me to write a book with a look from the humorous side of myself. I kid around a lot about how my Carolina Dog Sarge, and I live together but I’m very serious about this fine breed of a primitive dog.

Am I qualified to write about Carolina Dogs after only being involved for about 5 years? I don’t know but I have actively researched, asked questions, studied the information I could find. Plus, I have learned a lot from my experience living an active life with my Carolina Dog.

As always, I have just been me and this book is based on my experiences, what I’ve learned, observed, and is my opinion of the breed known as the Carolina Dog.
